The public is invited to “Weather Day” at Camp Hancock State Historic Site in Bismarck, 101 E. Main Avenue, Wednesday, June 18, 1-3 p.m.  From 1894 until 1939, Camp Hancock was home to Bismarck’s U.S. Weather Bureau station, which compiled weather data collected throughout the state.  Celebrate the significant role of Camp Hancock in managing North Dakota’s weather, water, and climate data in the state’s early years.  Free event for all ages to make a tornado in a bottle, learn how clouds produce rain, discover weather’s impact on buildings, and enjoy story time.  Daycares and summer camps are encouraged to attend.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Cookies and lemonade will be served.  For more information, contact Johnathan Campbell, shsfgm@nd.gov or 328-9528
