Live Wood Carving Demonstration

The public is invited to a live wood carving demonstration at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck on Monday, April 28, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.  Becky Barnes, a member of the Flickertail Woodcarvers since 2017, will demonstrate a relief carving of an acanthus leaf motif using long-handled chisels and a mallet.  See the carving techniques in action, better understand the tools, and learn more about this traditional art form.
