Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free, one-half hour, interactive learning series, “Little Kids, Big World”, at the ND Heritage Center to introduce children to North Dakota’s history.  Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, meet in the WEST entrance.  The programs are Saturdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. unless otherwise noted.  For more information call 328-2792.

June 7 and 11, Trains, 10 a.m. Discover the story of the first train to arrive in Bismarck, then get creative by designing your own train.

June 14 and 18, Camping, 10 a.m. Gather around the campfire. Share classic campfire stories, sing songs, and check out animal tracks you might spot while camping.

June 21 and 25, Cowboys, 10 a.m. Ever wondered why cowboys say “Howdy,” “Yeehaw,” or “Git along, little dogies”? Explore cowboy culture and craft your own cowboy hat.

June 28 and July 2, Independence Day, 10 a.m. Learn about the history behind this patriotic holiday, then make a festive paper fan to keep cool in the heat.
