The Legacy and St. Mary’s baseball teams are joining forces for one game in order to raise money for the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation (BCCF). The two teams will compete against each other on Monday, May 8, at the Bismarck Municipal Baseball Park, but the real winner will be local cancer patients because proceeds from the game will go toward making their cancer journeys a little easier.
There will two 5-inning games, starting at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. In addition to the game, there will be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. An opening ceremony with the release of 42 balloons will be held at 4:20 p.m. with Brent Dekok of St. Mary’s throwing out the first pitch. All of the money raised from this game will be donated to the Foundation, which provides financial support and assistance to ease the burden and stress cancer has on patients and their families. All donations stay local and help make a meaningful difference to patients by funding programs that assist the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
