To Be Hung Over Art Sale at BAGA
Bismarck Art & Galleries will host the 4th Annual To Be Hung Over Art Sale March 24-29, 2014. This sale is a unique opportunity for those with original art, to remarket their pieces. If you have art on your wall or in your closet that no longer suits your style, home decor or was purchased on a whim this is an excellent opportunity for you to sell those pieces. To participate in this sale you need to register your pieces with BAGA.
Registration forms are available on our web site, www.bismarck-art.org under special events. Registration forms are due by March 14, 2014 and artwork can be brought to the gallery on Friday, March 21 from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
To be eligible for the To Be Hung Over Art Sale, art must be in good condition, clean and without chips, cracks or broken glass. It must be an original painting, drawing, pottery, ceramics, sculpture or fiber arts. No photography or prints will be accepted for this sale. Paintings, wall hangings, etc. must have wire hangers, no saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Pieces must have value. Known collectibles will also be accepted for this sale. Examples include Llardro, Anri, Hummel, Goebel, Limoges, Tiffany, etc. The gallery reserves the right not to accept any piece for the sale if it does not meet the specifications. This is not a sale for artists to sell their work, but for consumers to resell past purchases.
Art owners are limited to two pieces of art but can bring additional pieces as their art sells. BAGA will retain a 30% commission on all sales. All sales are cash and carry. When delivering your artwork for the sale it must be marked with your name, the artist whose work you are selling and the price that you are asking for the artwork or collectible. Checks will be issued at the conclusion of the sale. This art sale is a wonderful opportunity for the community to purchase original artwork and for art collectors to downsize their collections.
