Four production workshops are scheduled for the Day Session of the 2nd Annual Dakota Digital Film Festival on Friday, April 5th, 2013, at Bismarck’s Belle Mehus Auditorium.
Digital Effects and Acting for the Green Screen; the making of an effects shot presented by Edward Sargeant, Rasmussen Multimedia Program Coordinator and Freelance CG Artist.
Audio for Films presented by Troy Sterling Nies, Composer for film, stage and television.
Professional Video with DSLR Cameras - high quality on a low budget presented by Brian Matthews, Basin Electric Photographer and Carson Nordgaard, Co-Owner D&N Cinematics.
Strategic Marketing & Distribution for Online Video – platforms, design, making money and maximizing the online environment presented by Matt Fern, Creator of the Daily Dakotan.
DDFF is dedicated to supporting the work of emerging and talented filmmakers and video artists by promoting local video/film production and by expanding awareness of professional careers within the industry. With an emphasis on education as well as providing a forum for local video artists’ and filmmakers’ work to be seen, the Dakota Digital Film Festival’s purpose is to mentor, train and inspire.
In addition to the Day Session, an Evening Session of award-winning short films and opportunities to interact with local filmmakers will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for each session or $15 for a full event pass and will be available for purchase in advance or at the door. DDFF is administered by Dakota Media Access and managed by a volunteer committee.
