Sanford Children’s Rehabilitation will be conducting free developmental screenings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
Although children from newborn to 12 years old are invited to be screened, a special emphasis this year is on “school readiness” of pre-kindergarten children, ages 2 through 5.
The screenings will include developmental areas where parents may have a concern such as their child’s posture, balance, sitting, crawling, walking, running, jumping, dressing, reaching, handwriting, clothing and texture sensitivities, attention, behavior, speech, language, feeding, swallowing and voice coarseness.
The screenings will be conducted in the children’s rehabilitation department of the hospital at 300 N. Seventh St., using the Rosser Avenue entrance on the north side.
Walk-ins will be welcome but, to avoid extended wait times, appointments are encouraged by calling 323-6097. For more information, visit bismarck.sanfordhealth.org.
