Prison2Society Conference and Training to be held
Ministry on the Margins, a volunteer-based group founded to help support men and women who may fall through the cracks during transitional times, especially re-entry into the community from prison, will be hosting a gathering on September 12 and 14, 2013. Paul Harrison, National Director for Prison2Society, will present "Reentry AfterCare: An Overview" on Thursday, September 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy located at 1221 College Drive, Bismarck. Harrison will present information, ideas and inspiration in how to become involved with assisting in the successful transition of reentry and reintegration into society.
On Saturday, September 14, Paul will present "Bridges to Success" team and mentoring training from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at the University of Mary Butler Center, 505 South 7th Street, Bismarck. This interactive training is fast paced and includes topics such as overcoming mindsets, obstacles of re-entry, networking with existing community resources and an overview of the model Prison2Society using the "The Rule of Two's." More information on the programming can be found at www.reentryaftercare.org.
There is no cost for the presentations; a free will offering will be taken to cover expenses. To register or for more information contact Sister Kathleen Atkinson, osb, at 701.426.8747 or firstname.lastname@example.org
