North Dakota Teen Challenge is hosting the 4th Annual ND Fishing Challenge across North Dakota in three great fishing locations. The ND Fishing Challenge was launched in April of 2010 with the first tournament at Graner Bottoms on the Missouri River and the second tournament at Six Mile Bay on Devils Lake. In 2011, North Dakota Teen Challenge added Parshall Bay on Lake Sakakawea to the tournament. These three locations remain the fishing hot spots for the 2013 Challenge.
Last year, over 70 teams participated with five teams from each tournament walking away with cash prizes for their heaviest catch of Walleye. This year’s tournament has a $2,500 guaranteed first place prize and the 2nd through 5th places will have a payout based upon actual number of teams participating.
Registration is limited to 50 teams per tournament.
The dates and the locations of the tournaments are:
April 27: Graner Bottoms on the Missouri River
June 29: Parshall Bay on Lake Sakakawea
July 27: Six Mile Bay on Devils Lake
Sponsors include Scheels, River City Sports, Flynn and Associates PC, MDU Resources Foundation, Miller Insulation Co. Inc., Dakota Country Magazine, Fishing Buddy, and Missouri Fishing Tackle.
